Resin-impregnated Weftless Fiberglass Banding Tape
I. Product Introduction
Weftless Banding Tape is a B-stage (semi-cured) tape, manufactured by combining chemically treated alkali-free glass fiber yarns, impregnating them with thermosetting resin, such as epoxy resin, and then drying.
The term "weftless" means all glass fibers are unidirectionally aligned in parallel. When stretched transversely, the tape forms a mesh-like structure. This unique characteristic allows the tape to fit tightly against the surface of the object being bandaged during winding. After curing, it forms a high-strength, low-shrinkage insulating binding layer.
II. Performances
Handling: Good flexibility and tack, easy unrolling, no filament shedding, no crease marks.
Cured properties: High rigidity, low elongation, impact resistance, arc resistance, tracking resistance, no hysteresis or eddy current losses.
Thermal performance: Meets B/F/H classes (130°C/155°C/180–200°C), excellent high-temperature aging resistance.
III. Applications
Core Applications: Manufacturing and repair of motors, transformers, and instrument transformers. Core functions: Binding, fastening, insulation protection.
Motors: Rotor/stator coil binding, winding reinforcement, vibration and impact resistance, ensuring high-speed operational stability.
Transformers: Core and coil fastening, gap filling, electric field dispersion, partial discharge reduction, suitable for dry-type and oil-immersed transformers.
Instrument transformers: Internal coil binding, insulation protection and structural fixation, suitable for current and voltage transformers.
Extended applications: Winding binding for arresters, welding machines, high-pressure vessels, etc.

Temperature-controlled storage is required. Refrigerated storage is required in high-temperature environments. Prior to use, the product must be allowed to return to room temperature for 24 hours after removal from cold storage. Failure to do so may result in difficult unrolling.
