Insulators for Transformers
I. Product Introduction
Insulators are key components that perform the dual functions of electrical isolation and mechanical support, serving as one of the core foundational elements ensuring safe equipment operation. Through specific structural designs, they achieve "electrical isolation between live parts and grounded/low-potential parts" while withstanding the mechanical and thermal stresses generated during equipment operation.
II. Performances
Excellent Insulation: High insulation materials (BMC/DMC, epoxy) provide high breakdown voltage and reliable withstand capability.
Flexible Structure: Available in shed, block, or wedge designs to optimize creepage distance and mechanical support.
High Strength & Durable: Dense, uniform molded/cast construction offers excellent impact resistance without the fragility of porcelain.
Flame Retardant & Weather Resistant: V0-rated, operates at ≥150°C, and resists moisture and dust.
Convenient & Economical: Bolt fixing with embedded inserts for easy installation; low maintenance—just cleaning and crack inspection.
III. Applications
Dry-type Transformer HV Side: Insulation support between live conductors and the grounded enclosure.
Between Windings and Core/Clamps: Insulation isolation and support/compression between HV/LV windings and metal parts.
Winding Ends: Positioning insulation to prevent turn-to-turn shorts caused by coil movement.
Indoor Switchgear: Insulation support for busbars and live parts in switchgear and ring main units.
IV. Technical Specifications
Customized insulation parts (wedge-shaped, stepped, with locating holes, etc.) can be supplied based on transformer coil dimensions, clamp mounting hole patterns, and compression force requirements, achieving dimensional accuracy within ±0.5mm.
