Diamond Dot Insulating Paper (DDP)
I. Product Introduction
Diamond Dot Paper (DDP) is an insulating material produced by applying a special modified epoxy resin in a diamond-shaped pattern onto electrical insulating paper, followed by B-stage curing.
Working Principle:
· Heating & Melting: The diamond-shaped epoxy resin melts at a specific temperature during coil drying, becoming tacky.
· Bonding & Curing: As temperature increases, the resin fully cures (C-stage), firmly bonding adjacent coil layers.
· Gas Release: The dot-shaped resin pattern allows gases to escape through uncoated areas during curing.
· Oil Impregnation: Transformer oil can fully penetrate the insulation through areas without coating.
II. Performances
DDP offers high breakdown voltage and superior insulation. Its diamond-shaped epoxy coating cures under heat to deliver strong adhesion and excellent resistance to short-circuit forces. With a heat resistance of Class B to F (130-155°C), the dot pattern ensures smooth gas release to prevent corona and partial discharge, while still allowing transformer oil to fully penetrate. It integrates insulation, bonding, and breathability into a single material.
III. Applications
Oil-immersed Power Transformers: Turn insulation and layer insulation of coil conductors
Distribution Transformers: Layer insulation and end insulation
Reactors: Coil layer insulation and winding fixation
Instrument Transformers: Insulation structure and winding fixation
